Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-01-14

1. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing access to PrivacyStack ("the Product"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you are prohibited from purchasing or using the Product.

2. Product & License Grant

Upon a one-time payment of $29, you receive lifetime access to the private GitHub repository containing the PrivacyStack Next.js boilerplate code.

This grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to:

  • Use the code for personal and commercial projects
  • Modify and customize the code for your own use
  • Build unlimited applications using the boilerplate
3. License Restrictions

You are prohibited from:

  • Redistributing, reselling, or sublicensing the boilerplate code itself
  • Sharing your GitHub repository access with others
  • Creating competing boilerplate products based on PrivacyStack
  • Removing or modifying copyright notices in the code

Note: You may sell applications you build using PrivacyStack. This restriction applies only to the boilerplate code itself.

4. Repository Access

After purchase, you will receive an invitation to the private GitHub repository. You must provide a valid GitHub username to receive access.

We reserve the right to revoke repository access if you violate these Terms of Service, particularly the license restrictions outlined in Section 3.

5. Updates & Support

Your one-time purchase includes lifetime access to all future updates and improvements to the boilerplate.

Email support is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee response times or resolution of all issues, but we strive to help all customers succeed.

6. Payments & Refunds

All payments are securely processed via Gumroad. By purchasing, you agree to Gumroad's Terms of Service.

Due to the digital nature of the product and immediate repository access upon purchase, refunds are generally not provided unless required by law or in cases of significant technical failure that prevents access to the repository.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

PrivacyStack is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Implied warranties of merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement

We do not warrant that the code will be error-free, secure, or compatible with all environments. You are responsible for testing and validating the code for your specific use case.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall PrivacyStack or its developers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities) arising out of or related to your use or inability to use the Product, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for all claims related to the Product shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Product ($29).

9. Intellectual Property

The PrivacyStack boilerplate code and all associated documentation remain the intellectual property of PrivacyStack. Your license grants you the right to use the code as specified in Section 2, but does not transfer ownership or copyright.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued access to the repository after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Product shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
